Hello, web world! It’s been quiet around here for over a year now, that’s crazy! Let’s see if I can manage to get back on the “blogwagon”, shall we?
First, my website got a new look, did you notice? I love it so much. I have a little more tweaking to do, but it’s pretty much done!
Second, I want to share a peek into my 2016 Project Life album. I’ve changed my style every year for this project, and I’ve had some people asking how I’m rolling with it this go-round. I chose a very basic style, easier for me to keep up with. (That doesn’t mean I’ve kept up with it, it’s always a work in progress, but it’s easier for me to fill in as I go.) Last year a I did a digital album, and this year I went with a traditional one. I love having the photos to look at throughout the year and not having to wait until the end of the year to print it, so it makes it a little more satisfying for me.
I have basic cards I made for the days. I have used them all year long. Gives the album a little bit of unison.
I’ve started taking little screenshots of videos I love, like below. I take a ton of short videos, and I love doing this because I look at our albums more often than I watch our home videos, so this lets me enjoy the moment again without having to dig out the videos.
To make the most of the space in the album I sometimes add photos to the day cards – like below.
If you can’t tell, I love making photo collages. I have 5 kids, if I didn’t do this, I’d have 4 albums by the time the year was over! Plus, I have a really hard time sometimes deciding which photos to use (I know I am not the only one!)
I hope you’ve enjoyed peeking into my 2016 album. I’ll be back in a few days to share some more! Before I go, I want to share this with you all. I went looking for a blog tracker, and although there are so many amazing ones available, I couldn’t quite find one that suited my needs. So, I whipped one up. If you love it, and want it, sign up for my newsletter and it can be yours totally free!
